    I am trying to locate the family of David DRAPER b. 1784 VA and Susan Draper b. 1789. She married William GRANTLAND. They all moved to N. Alabama sometime in the early 1800's. I am looking for the names of their parents. etc. David married a Mary QUINN from NC. Any info on this family will be most appreciated as we have hit a brick wall with this Draper family. He had a son Western Draper b. 1812. VA.

    PETTUS - Searching for the names of the children of James Pettus b. about 1774 m. Anna SHOTWELL. I believe they had children born in Abbeville, S.C.     EVANS, Joseph Samuel (or Samuel Joseph), son of John D. and Lucy Evans. According to his 1920 marriage certificate (Alexandria, VA), he was born in Louisa around 1899. John was a laborer. Lucy's father was an Irish immigrant. Lucy was born about 1870 and died 1965. Any leads on these people would be much appreciated.

    Who was Captain R. Lipscomb born April 15 1780 in Louisa County Virginia and died March 19, 1860 in [now] Cherokee County South Carolina? He is burried in a plot in the median of I-85 between miles 89-90 North of Gaffney SC and south of Blacksburg SC. Other graves include: L.H. Sarratt (5/5/1799 - 7/7/1850) Robin Lipscomb (2/16/1864 - 10/5/18--) Nancy Lipscomb (2/14/1832 - 11/8/1832) Ailie Lipscomb (1/20/1805 - 6/14/1888) this cemetery is in poor condition now and in need of immediate care in order to maintain its historical significance. I am simply curious about the genealogical and anthropological information available there. If you're related please contact me.

    HUMPHREY--Looking for information on William and Mary Humphrey. Lived in Louisa County in 1850. In 1860 they were residing in Fluvanna County in the Kents Store area. Julia and Mary GLASS lived with them. In 1870 they were living back in Louisa County in the Trevilians area, John and James Glass lived with them. What was connection to the Glass family? Were they tenants or kin?

    GLASS, TRAINHAM--Looking for information on or contact with descendants of Alice Louise Glass Trainham and Oscar J. Trainham of the Gordonsville area. Alice was born 5/3/1867, died 6/7/1937. She married Oscar on 12/1/1881. He was born on 4/9/1861, died on 5/4/1932. Both are buried at Maplewood Cemetery just outside of the town of Gordonsville in Orange County. Their children are Arthur Herman, Carl A., Iva Mae, Lottie Pearl, John Scott, and Oscar J. Jr.. It is believed that some of Alice's and Oscar's descendants reside in Louisa County.

    Seeking any info on Julia Ann GLASS, born around 1835, location unknown. Had 4 children, Mary S., born 1854, John Fleming, born 1861, James, born 1863, and Alice Louise, born 1867. 1860 Fluvanna Co. census shows Julia & Mary Glass living with Wm. and Mary HUMPHREY. 1870 Louisa Co. census shows John and James Glass living with Wm. and Mary Humphrey, no trace of Julia and Mary. Julia married Charles A. Trainham of Louisa Co. prior to 1880. Resided in northwest part of Louisa Co.. 1880 Louisa Co. census shows Charles, Julia, Mary, John and Alice together with Charlse's mother Mahala TRAINHAM. Looking for any info, especially on any descendants and where they lived.

    Seek Information on Charles (W?) BLOUNT / BLUNT and Mary Waters PETTUS who married in Louisa Co. on Dec. 2, 1787. Mary Waters Pettus was the daughter of John PETTUS, sheriff of Louisa Co in 1766) and Mary WATERS. John PETTUS d. Nov. 1770. Charles and Mary Waters BLUNT/BLOUNT are next mentioned in the 1791 will of her brother, Thomas Waters PETTUS. What happened to them? Is this Charles the same one who is in the 1800 Amhert Co tax list? Thanks for any help.
